Last time we spoke, 

i was getting ready for graduation

Sad to say that day never came....

{Just kidding}

you better believe i made sure it happened!

after 16 years dedicated to classes and school

im finally F.R.E.E.

{woot woot}

kind of crazy to think that im done

school is such a huge part of our lives

from age 5 until your 20's your in school.

now its just... over.

{wait}

that sounded like i was sad.

i guess i kind of am

its fun to be around friends and new people

and learning new things

but man am i READY to be done!

{that sounds more like it}

{stoked}

{my major - Family, Consumer, Human Development - and also Health}

{its official}

Graduation day seemed kind of surreal the whole day

{still kind of does}

My family and my in-laws were able to be there

we had a little party before i had to leave

lunch, cake, presents.. the whole shabang!

Then i was off to the ceremony

which lasted about an hour

and you better believe

i walked across that stage PROUD

Back to the presents part...
My family was so sweet to have this little party
to celebrate this big day for me!
They all came bearing gifts too
{my kind of party}
Spencer bought me the new iPad 3


My in laws got us a Vitamix {high tech blending machine}


My parents got us an ALL expense paid trip to Hawaii for 10 days

and they also paid for my ENTIRE college education!
i couldn't be more grateful!
honestly, i dont think i would have finished
if i would have had to pay for it myself.
And now that i have finished, i realize how blessed i am
and how glad i am that i have this degree under my belt.
So thank you!

So i think we all know how much i LOVE gifts,
and I am so grateful for all of my gifts,
but mostly i really am grateful for such a
supportive and loving family.
Thank you. I love you.

The end is in sight!

I am almost officially a college grad.

next weekend I will be walking with my....

 Bachelors of Science Degree

in FCHD and Health

from Utah State University!

BAH! this doesnt seem real.

It's a little bittersweet

{but lets be honest...

its a little more sweet}

We have made some new

and pretty cool friends this past little while

and Jesilyn and Denton

We all live in the same complex

so its very convenient.

Jesi made us dinner last night

and after we made smores

{i golden the outside and peel off the outside layer,

then keep doing it until its gone. best way to cook a mallow}

Then Jesi did my nails

So speaking of my new friends...

I have never experienced the bar scene

here in Logan...

and im not gonna lie, it kinda sucked.

{ok it really sucked}

But Jesi sang and so Tia and I went to support

{She has some pipes!}

The band after asked her to start recording

with them now.

I have a famous frienddd... woooo! haha

Not much has really happened this week

except Lily has been a nice visitor at our home all week.

She refuses to let me go ANYWHERE without her

{Im the cool aunt}

obvi.

Her mom has been busy alllll week

studying for finals and getting her ENGAGEMENTS done!

woo woo!

i was looking through them to tell her my fav's

and look what i found....

Well spring has sprung here in Logan.

and im lovin it.

temp is still kinda cool but no snow.

I am already getting ready

I ordered a new swimsuit online

and it should be here in a few days!

 

I only have bikinis

 so i decided to venture outand get a tankini

 {and im super excited about this suit}

isnt it darling?

Even though i work full time now,

it will get some good use here in a little over a month

when we will be soakin in the rays in Hawaii

ALOHA!

{i would use the translation of IM AMPED in hawaiian

but i dont know that. so Aloha will work for now}

oh my goodness.

i cant believe it is already April

It is still weird to me that it is 2012.

A lot has happened since i last posted

whats new right?

ha.

Look how cute my hubby is...

I walked out to my car after work

and found my car on and warm

the windows scraped off

and this message on my hood

So, back to the happenings....

lets start from the beginning

So since valentines day

Spencer had a birthday,

and i had a whole weekend of surprises!

Friday started out with

Dinner at Tucanos

saw the movie The Lorax

Then went to the Jazz - Heat game

Then Friday night we went to his family's cabin

and we stayed the night there

Then woke up and went Skiing at Canyons

and then went to dinner with Jared and Courtney

{soon to be husband and wife ♥ }

Then had a big surprise party back at his parents house

with the extended family!

 Then we went up to Sun Valley the next weekend

Hit the Slopes HARD

 

and treated ourselves to a homemade Ph'zookie

 

Then the weekend AFTER Sun Valley

my little brother Tommy came and stayed with us

and can i just say,

we are the coolest sibs ever.

{It was over St. Patty's day}

We started out by Breakfast at Elements

Then the movie The Lorax

Then Cosmic Bowling

Then Basketball for a few hours

Then tried the new Doritos Taco

and ended the night with toilet papering!

After that,

Spencers mom came and stayed with us

and joined Spencer is his Second Triathlon

he did amazing!

Next up was the Gem State Trade Show

This is where all the vendors of food/candy/drinks

whatever you can think of basically comes

and sells to gas stations and convenient stores

well... my dad is the owner of Gem State Distributors

so we get to go and walk around

and get LOADED up on goodies.

Next my hubby and sissy joined me in

my LAST Utah State game as an official Aggie Student!

{bittersweet}

I have had 2 new addictions in my life:

1) Katniss Everdeen

2) Draw Something

Well i am about caught up now!

Lastly,

I have LOVED that spring time is finally here

the weather is nice

{sometimes ha}

and i can decorate for SPRING

{A bunch of my decorations around my house}

And yesterday i went golfing with my two loves

My hubby, and my daddy!

You made it!

Je t'aime

Spencer and I both had to work on Valentine's day

so we decided instead of one big night...

we would do little things together alll week long

{starting the previous saturday}

Spencer woke me up to a love letter

and 2 tickets to see

The Vow

um such a cute movie by the way

i definitely recommend it!

Then a day or so later he surprised me

with this to come home to:

{similar to his proposal}

Yesterday we went to our Eternal Marriage

Institute class and was planning on going

to the special needs Valentines Dance....

but i had to work a little late so i couldnt make it

Spencer stopped by for a few minutes while i was running late.

Then tonight i am surprising him with dinner at

Le Nonne

i only have two words for this

Crab Ravioli

oh.my.word.

it is to DIE for!

{my tummy is growling thinking about it}

Then this weekend we are going to Pocatello

to spend time with my family

and we will do all sorts of valentine's activities with

my fam. especially my 12 yr old brother

who isnt old enough to have a date yet!

So i learned the history of valentines day just recently

this is how it goes....

St. Valentine was one of many martyred saints in Rome

they cut off all of his limbs

and because that wasnt enough... {seriously?}

they took his heart and stabbed an arrow

through it and put it in the town center for

everyone to see as a warning

....

That is why the heart with the arrow

through it, is the symbol of

Valentine's day.

Not very romantic if you ask me

but hey.

im not gonna complain

i love being LOVED!

so i like this day

A or B?

So i pulled up my blog because it had been a while

and i noticed my last couple posts have been

{once a month-ers}

and they have all said, roughly,

i am the worst blogger ever

and i'll do better.... blah blah blah 

well i have come to a conclusion

it is one of two things.

I'm sure of it.

option 1

if you tell yourself something enough

you will start to believe it.

may have been the case

or

option 2

i jinxed myself

i either forget

or only remember when i can't blog

like at work or in my car

We don't need to pick favorites here

so i decided i will pretend its both

that way one doesn't feel left out

and i blog more

its a Win-Win!

So i guess its basically a recap from well
....a month ago.
imagine that. ha.

This past weekend the fam went
skiing in Sun Valley for a few days
it was much needed.
That is probably one my favorite weekend get-a-ways
We turned the boards Saturday
chilled, ate, and watched the Superbowl Sunday
and Killed it again on the mountain monday!

Then came back to work tuesday
{I only have one online class so
i basically am just at work and home}
it was nice to be back
it made me happy how many people
were excited to see me back!

So one day at work....
Trevor {the owners son, who also is high up}
comes into the kitchen and asks
what my school schedule was like
and how long i have left
...so i told him.
and he walked away.
awkward right?
don't worry it gets better

So i had a friend come up to me and tell me there
was a position open in the conference center as an
Event Coordinator
so i applied and got an interview
They later called me back for a 2nd interview

So i show up to my 2nd interview
and the owner is pulling up 5 other chairs
not including mine
{i only interviewed with 2 in my first}
and so i joked with the owner about it
and he said actually we are interviewing you
for 2 jobs at the same time today
....a little confused, i agreed.
{the other job was with Marriott}

The interview went like this
1st person asks me a serious deep question
then they all took turns.
The interview lasted AN HOUR!
pretty dang stressful if you ask me

but i guess i did well
later that day i got called back and they offered
me the MARRIOTT position!
i am soooooo excited!
I am the new Sales Administrator.
its a full-time position
and i get paid Salary.
I get full benefits with Marriott and Wasatch
{wasatch is the property that owns
Elements, Riverwoods, Coppermill and Marriott}
Its pretty exciting.

my first day was monday
i have worked everyday from
9 am - 9 pm
start out at the office and at night go wait tables.
pretty exhausting.
but i made it look effortless

Im guilty as charged.

charges being the worst blogger ever lately.

i take all responsibility. 

If it counts for anything.....

i may have a little bit of an excuse.

December was the craziest month.

I will reveal why in order.

Our Anniversary - Dec 10

We had the best time

we went out to Le Nonne

{a very nice authentic italian restaurant}

where spencer had surprised me with flowers 

already at our table when we got there

and a gift.

Then we headed to Pocatello

where we checked in at 4 to enjoy our 

amazing themed suite 

"Tropical Paradise" at 

The Black Swan Inn

it was amazing!

Then we had those fun FINALS we all love

even though it isn't the funnest time of the year

i walked away fall semester with straight A's

and am still on the Dean's List at USU.

pretty proud.

This semester is my last.

I only have 1 online class and my senior paper

can't believe i'm almost done

it sounds so old to be a college grad.

i don't feel old enough yet.

Next up was the Christmas Holidays!

We spent Christmas Eve and half of Christmas Day 

with my family

{we have kept in touch with our Russian exchange

student we had 15 years ago}

and she had christmas at our house.

it was so fun to have her! 

Then we went down to the Dahl's Christmas Night

and then the 26th and 27th 

we had Spencer's family parties.

Then back up to Logan the 27th night

only to wake up the 28th morning 

and be AT the hospital by 6:30 am for my tonsillectomy.

Can i just say....

i have had my gall bladder, appendix, and tonsils out

and tonsils was the most annoying. 

i am STILLL feeling crappy and it has been 2 1/2 weeks!

But i can't complain to badly because

my sister and bro in law had their adorable baby boy 

COOPER

and since i had surgery

i couldn't work

so i spent the 28-jan5 up in Pocatello

hanging out with them

and bonding with my nephew 

before they flew back to Kentucky

Can i just say

it blows we away how much i can love my nephew

and i loved him so much before i even met him

i can't even imagine how much i am going

to love my little ones when they come someday!

hard to comprehend

That leads to now.

I have been stuck inside all day

for the past while

and caught up completely on

Gossip Girl

and for all you GG fans,

um is anyone else dying about how last

episode ended in Dec?

Seriously, Chuck and Blair are FINALLY 

together, and then Chuck might die.

ugh.

My sister and i were talking about it

and we both agree that Chuck is our all-time 

fav character of any TV show, of All time.

All in favor?

now that i have all this free time

i will be better!

flying time

Time has just seemed to be

FLYING BY!

i cannot believe it is December already

all in favor say "i"

It definitely feels like December though

its bitterrrrr cold lately.

Yesterday i left work at 9pm

and it was 1 degree.

yes, i did say 1. 

as in... one.... single... degree.

guaranteed this will be tomorrows outfit

laugh all you want...

but im not even kidding! 

When the first real snowfall came

i worked a double.

so i went into work with no snow on the ground

and left work to walk out to 8 inches of snow

this is from one of the windows at my work

that was around 4 or 5 pm. 

so not even the full damage in this pic.

Along with the winter season is...

our Anniversary.

its in 4 days. 

talk about time flying.

we have been married 2 years already

cannot believe we are this old haha.

we are total marriage pros now.

need any tips? we are the ones to ask!

{kind of serious too... haha we have been through

just about everything!}

cancer, surgeries, etc.

We had a date night tonight

and we were talking about how crazy 

the past two years have been!

how fast its gone

and how much we have gone through together! 

im grateful for everything because

when you think you may lose the one you love

you realize how much you really do love them.

I love Spencer with all my heart.

I am the luckiest girl in the world! 

don't ever take anyone for granted!
